This week the Festival of Imagination opens at Selfridges, a collaboration between The BIAD Centre for Fine Art Research (CFAR) and the department store as part of a wider campaign across London and Manchester.

Over 3 weeks. starting on Wednesday 5 February and based on the Ground Floor, of the Bullring store a construction called The Imaginarium will host interactive workshops, talks, performances, music, demonstrations, screenings, and events for all ages.

Lucy Hawking, daughter of Stephen Hawking will be launching the festival with the opening talk, and other highlights include a part-disco, part-documentary multi-screen installation about David Bowie, Pecha Kucha style ‘Lightening Talks’, a film programme from Flatpack Film Festival, and video works inspired by the music of Kraftwerk.
