Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Kino10 at Guthrie & Ghani

Earlier this year I watched The Great British Sewing Bee with much enthusiasm. It inspired me to get out the sewing machine, shake of my terrible reputation of getting everything in a muddle; sewing the fabric to the machine itself; accelerating too hard on the foot peddle etc etc… and finally learn how to work it. Needless to say it’s still in its box.

I particularly enjoyed Lauren’s exploits knowing that she was then about to open the habadashery Guthrie & Ghani with her husband in Moseley. On Friday 21 June (tomorrow) I will be in much safer territory and be able to sit back without causing havoc as Kino10 shows a series of shorts at the shop. Kino10: Purl & Sheen takes knitting, crafting and materials as a theme with a series of animations, archive films, documentaries and music videos.

The night starts at 6pm and costs £2.
