Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Sound Lounge 21

Town Hall and Symphony Hall are currently looking for a core group of ten young people aged 16-21 years from Birmingham to be part of Sound Lounge 21, an exciting new project exploring the work behind cultural programming and the music industry.

Over 11 months the group will be skilled up by industry professionals and develop expertise in programming, producing, leadership, event management, marketing and digital media; all whilst working towards gaining a Gold Arts Award qualification. Working as a team  each participant will pilot their own events for young people alongside our established foyer programmes: Folk for Free, Rush Hour Blues and Musical Picnic. Team members will manage budgets, develop ideas and projects, fundraise and become ambassadors for one of the city’s largest music venues. Wow! An amazing opportunity.

The deadline is very soon – this Friday (21 September), so if you think this is for you or if you’d like more information go to the Ideastap page here.
