Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Unravel is an epic project which will create a hand painted film the same length as John O’Groats to Land’s End (874 miles). The team behind the project have been touring the country for the last few months holding workshops in order to make the film which will be created by the people of Britain. The resulting piece will be 16 hours long.

On Saturday 8 January the workshop comes to Ikon Gallery. From 12-3pm you have the chance to contribute to an amazing film project. It is free of charge and open to all. I thoroughly recommend going just for the current Len Lye exhibition, but Unravel will give anyone inspired by the work a chance to try out Lye’s direct film making technique. See you there!
