Art of Ideas 2010

From 11-14 November Art of Ideas returns to Birmingham for its third year. The Arts Council England event led by Arts and Business aims to promote contemporary visual art making it more accessible to audiences and new potential buyers. This year the event will be hosted by critic and TV broadcaster Matthew Collings and will take place in venues across the region. The past events have been fascinating, and a must for those interested in working within the arts.

At Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in the Waterhall, there will be an exhibition curated by Matthew Collings and Matt Price. The Witching Hour will explore darkness and the uncanny through the work of artists from or based in, Birmingham and the West Midlands.

There will also be a publication about developing collections of art in the private, corporate and public sectors. This will include a piece on the plans for a museum of contemporary art in Birmingham.
