Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

The Daily Battle

VIVID‘s current season explores language and meaning from different cultural perspectives. Their new show, opening on Wednesday, is a fascinating project. Karen Mirza and Brad Butler are occupying column space in the UK/Urdu newspaper The Daily Jang (translated back into English as The Daily Battle) to discuss the role of art in society. Each day of the exhibition a different cultural thinker will publish a text that is their own interpretation. 100 copies of The Daily Jang will be delivered to VIVID each morning as part of an installation within the exhibition.

The private view takes place on Wednesday from 6-8pm. The show will then be open from Thursday 4 November to Saturday 20 November. VIVID is open Thursday to Saturday 12-5pm.
