Birmingham City Council recently launched its first visual art open competition for children and young people aged 0-24 years. Selected works will be shown in a variety of venues across the city centre and suburbs drawing attention to the wealth creative talent in Birmingham.

The competition winners’ work will be shown as part of Visualise, a ten-day festival that runs from 21-31 October, which will include workshops, exhibitions and talks. Visualise aims to be a platform for the work created by Birmingham’s children and young people, and offers everyone a unique opportunity to experience it and get involved themselves.

The competition deadline is tomorrow, so if you’re quick you can still enter! There is also a £600 bursary being awarded to an 18-24 year old offering the chance to create a collaborative artwork. Get going! Info here!
