Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Sing Silent Songs

Sing Silent Songs is the title of the next TROVE show at the site of the Old Science Museum which opens on Thursday 23 September. The show investigates the ‘internal and external worlds of childhood daydreaming and flights of fancy’.
The title of the show comes Scott Walker’s ‘Plastic Palace People’ which describes the imaginary ascent of Billy, seemingly propelled by a balloon tied to his underwear. The show aims to mirror the mood of the song evoking personal narratives and memory. The show features the work of Matthew Krishanu, Wendy Mayer, David Miller and Paul Newman.
The private view is 6-9pm. The show is then open on 25 and 26 September and 2 and 3 October 12-4pm.
