Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Inbindable Volume

From Thursday, VIVID present a new multi-screen video installation by Karin Kihlberg & Reuben Henry. In a series of tracking shots, the multiple screens show a journey through the empty Brutalist space of Birmingham Central Library. Throughout the film a narrator describes the lifespan of a building ‘from conception to abandonment’, poignant considering that the Central Library is due to be demolished in the next few years.

The private view takes place on Wednesday 28 July from 6-8pm. The exhibition opens on 29 July and continues to 21 August 2010. The exhibition then tours to Citric Gallery, Italy in March 2011. VIVID is open Thursday to Saturday 12-5pm. Entry is FREE.
