Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Last week I went to Moselele, the ‘second best Ukulele group in all of Moseley’. It is a night, upstairs in the Patrick Kavanagh pub where you can learn how to play the Ukulele. It welcomes both beginners and existing players. Their song book is an eclectic mix of classic pop songs from Eight Days A Week to I’m the Urban Spaceman complete with kazoo solo. If you don’t have a Ukulele they even have some spare for you to borrow. It was a really fun night with a lovely atmosphere. It was the first time my friend had picked up a Ukulele. She didn’t find it too daunting and led the singing with gusto!

There is a special Moselele tonight at 8pm as part of Moseley Festival. The next night will be 5 August.
