Brigid Mc Leer is the latest artist to take up a residency at the Rea Garden. Her project is inspired by James Joyce‘s Ulysses and the opening sequence to Jean Luc Godard‘s film Le Mepris (a story of the making of a film of Homer‘s Odyssey) where a tracking shot of a woman reading is shown. She will explore the possibility of tracking shots and will lay a track in the garden that will be used as a camera track. The residency will culminate in a reading from Ulysses which will be filmed using the track.
The filming and performance will take place on Saturday 19 June at 12pm. The garden is also open to the public every Friday from 11-4pm.
