Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

Moseley Folk Day

Tomorrow Moseley Folk Festival and mac join forces for what promises to be a wondeful day of folk music, dance and song, featuring workshops, free performances and film screenings.

There will be a screening of the mockumentary Morris: A Life with Bells On, a performance by The Demon Barber Roadshow, an intimate gig and worskshop by guitar genius Wizz Jones, all girl burlesque morris team Belles of London Town and English morris dancing for the 21st century by The Outside Capering Crew.

Above is a video of the Demon Barber Roadshow at the BBC Folk Awards. I saw them at Moseley Folk Festival last year and was absolutely blown away. I had never seen anything like it. Highly recommended!

More information on the day can be found here.
