Chinese New Year ~ Year of the Tiger

Chinese New Year, falls on Sunday 14 February this year. There will be all sorts of celebrations at the Arcadian Centre. This year promises ‘mesmerising acrobatic and cultural performances’. There will be Kung Fu demonstrations, children’s dances (ahhh), Cantonese opera, and traditional dance. All will be free. The celebrations will start with a bang, with an extravagant dragon and lion dance closely followed by Fire Crackers. Stalls will line Hurst Street and there will be a performance space in the Hippodrome. 

The Chinese New Year Celebrations will take place from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. More information can be found here.
