Highlighting under the radar arts and culture in Birmingham, UK

In November 2008 Birmingham-based artists Peter Grego, Tom Ranahan, Pamina Stewart and Paula Woof exhibited with French artists at the Le Hangar en Bois Gallery, as part of an exchange exhibition at the Art Chartrons Festival held in Bordeaux.

From 10th-13th September, there will be second exhibition, Re-Place to coincide with ArtsFest in Birmingham.  The artists from Birmingham and Bordeaux will interpret the idea of place in its widest sense using a range of media: photography, video, sculpture, mixed media and painting. The aim of this exhibition is to build on the cultural and artists’ links developed in the initial exhibition held in Bordeaux and to create a bridge between artists working in these cities and link with other international artist communities.

The exhibition will includes works by Richard Biarderau, Joss Burke, Peter Grego, Isidore Krapo, Véronique Lamere, Christophe Massé,Tom Ranahan, Pamina Stewart, Francis Viguera and Paula Woof.

Opening  Friday 11th September  6-8pm.

The exhibition is then open 10th-13th September 10-5pm
