After the interesting A New Museum for a the 21st Century talk yesterday as part of Art of Ideas II, it was great to see an article in the Guardian about galleries and museums in the Midlands. I enjoyed hearing people’s ideas of what a museum should be like, its relevence to the city around it, and whether it should be a specially designed building or even a gallery without walls. I look forward to hearing the results of the feasibility study. Hopefully Birmingham will have a much needed new gallery in the next few years.
