The Best in Brum Performance Poetry
Rhymes, the monthly poetry performance night, returns tonight to the Theatre Space in the Custard Factory. It will be an exciting night of poetry and live music.
This month’s guest poets include:
- Jimmy Fantastik who has recently performed in Hull for Love Poetry Hate Racism and published by the Wrote Under Publishing Co-Operative. He is now in the National Academy of Writing.
- Adrian ‘Poetic7′ Mckenzie – ‘an exciting blend of poignant rhymes and smooth wordplay. His lyrical dexterity has captivated UK and overseas audiences. One to watch’.
- George Too Quick a.k.a ‘PoshBoy‘ - performing pieces from his new one-man show. An evening of ‘wit, wisdom and sharing guaranteed to have you leave with a smile on your face and maybe one or two new perspectives to play with’.
MC for the night will be Lorna Meehan. As well as the performances there will be the Wordbag Challenge, live music and The Rhymes Raffle.
Rhymes starts at 8pm and costs £5.
